Photography exhibition "Attraverso Cogne"
The Museum Association of Cogne, the Regional Education and Culture Department, Fondation Grand Paradis and Cogne Acciai Speciali s.a.s., will be inaugurating on Friday the 4th of December at 3pm, the outdoor photography exhibition Attraverso Cogne – Franz Elter, la guerra, la miniera.
Until the 25th of April 2010 various photographs of Franz Elter will be displayed, creating a photography itinerary from the streets of Cogne to the miners’ village. Here the film Miniere di Cogne, Val d’Aosta, directed by Marco Elter in 1933 will be screened.
On the occasion of this opening, there will be a function dedicating the square of the miners’ village to Franz Elter. After that, at 4.30pm, the book Franz Elter (Cantagalli Editorial – Siena) will be presented in the town hall. The book is a commemoration of the director of the mine, on occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death and the 30th anniversary of the closedown of the mine. Roberto Compagnoni and the authors, Paolo Momigliano Levi and Stuart Woolf will be taking part.
Throughout the day the entrance to the Gran Paradiso National Park visitor’s center of Cogne will be free.
