Photography competition “Dans les yeux, dans les eaux”

Fondation Grand Paradis presents the photography competition Dans del yeux, dans les eaux.

Fondation Grand Paradis, supported by Nikon and the Mountain Photo Festival Association, presents the photography competition Dans les yeux, dans les eaux, open to all mountain and photography lovers.

Nature creates countless images of itself: shadows, mirages, optical illusions, reflections in the water. Water is one of the most fascinating mirrors in which to be reflected: it softens edges; it makes the visible evasive, seizing eternity; it unveils extraordinary light effects. Fondation Grand Paradis invites you to capture the reflected images in mountain waters, where the peaks, the animals, the pastures and the clouds multiply offering us ever-shifting shapes.

Phographs must be submitted no later than the 30th of October 2010, in high resolution and in .jpg format, to info@grand-paradis.it, or on a CD to Fondation Grand Paradis, Villaggio Minatori, 11012 Cogne (AO).

The jury members are: Enzo Massa Micon, photographer and forester; Joseph Péaquin, documentarist; Paolo Rey; professional photographer; Alessandro Ottenga, representing the Mountain Photo Festival Association and Luisa Vuillermoz, Director of Fondation Grand Paradis. The jury will select 7 photographs which will be exhibited on LED-backlit panels, at the Gran Paradiso National Park visitor’s centre of Valsavarenche. The prizes for three of the photos will be a NIKON D3000 reflex digital camera, participation in a nature photographic hike chosen by the 2011 edition of Aosta Valley’s Photo Workshop and a TENBA camera bag.

The competition is to be an exchange between the mountain lovers who capture the marvels that nature offers us, and a tribute to the mountain that presents us with extraordinary visions.
