Posso fidarmi di te? wins the photography competition
The jury of the photography competition La natura ci guarda has awarded the first prize to Posso fidarmi di te?, by Laura Mori from Milan, on the following grounds: “A very moving image: the fox’s fearful look, highlighted by the picture’s composition, brings out the fragility of the relationship between man and nature”. The second prize goes to Marina Bari from Brissogne for Uno sguardo verso l’alto, while the third prize goes to Tiziana Dalla Zanna from Nus for the photograph Lo sguardo…parla nel silenzio.
The jury, made up of photographer and forester Enzo Massa Micon; Alessandro Ottenga, president of the Mountain Photo Festival Association; professional photographer Paolo Rey and Luisa Vuillermoz, director of Fondation Grand Paradis, has also awarded a special mention to Presenza, by Fabio Beconcini from Pisa and to Incontri ravvicinati, by Lucia Serra and Giovanni Mosca, from Genoa.
The competition was organised with the support of the Hostellerie du Paradis in Valsavarenche and of the Mountain Photo Festival Association. 188 images were submitted by mountain and photography lovers from all over Italy and France. The pictures were taken in mountain areas not only in Italy, but also in France, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Russia and the United States.
The prize-winning photographs and those that have had a special mention, as well as seven other images selected by the jury, will be exhibited from the 8th of Deceber 2011 on LED-backlit panels, visible from the outside and the inside of Gran Paradiso’s National Park of Valsavarenche. They will also be published in Fondation Grand Paradis’ website (www.grand-paradis.it), in the section dedicated to the competition.
