"Energia Natura": photography competition

Energia Natura (Energy Nature) is the theme of the fourth edition of this photography competition. The competition is open to all nature photography lovers and is organized with the support of the Hotel Genzianella in Valsavarenche and of the Mountain Photo Festival Association.

For Fondation Grand Paradis, photography competitions are a way of encouraging reflection and discovery of the natural environment that surrounds us; photography is a marvellous tool for revealing the secrets of nature.

To participate images should be submitted with the completed registration form no later than 30 April 2012 to: Fondation Grand Paradis (Villaggio Minatori, Cogne) or to concorso@grand-paradis.it. Photographs must be in .jpg format and of a high resolution. The registration form, competition rules and information are available at www.grand-paradis.it.

Jury members are: Enzo Massa Micon, photographer and forester; Alessandro Ottenga, president of the Mountain Photo Festival Association; Paolo Rey, professional photographer; and Luisa Vuillermoz, director of Fondation Grand Paradis. The jury will select the photographs, which will be exhibited on LED-backlit panels at Gran Paradiso National Park visitors centre of Valsavarenche.

The prizes are a sojourn for two people in Gran Paradiso National Park at the Hotel Genzianella in Valsavarenche, participation in a nature photography hike organised by Photo Workshop Valle d’Aosta and an annual subscription to Tutti fotografi magazine, dedicated to photography lovers.

The images selected by the jury for the third edition of the competition, La natura ci guarda, are exhibited at Gran Paradiso National Park Visitors centre of Valsvarenche and are published at www.grand-paradis.it.
