By participating in projects financed by European and national funds, Fondation Grand Paradis is able to combine the region’s different needs coherently and fulfil them. This way it is possible to carry out different initiatives which would be difficult to finance with ordinary resources.

Fondation Grand Paradis is currently working on two different projects:

Giroparchi

Project on sustainable development and integration of protected areas.
This project aims to develop the potential of natural and cultural tourism in the Espace Grand Paradis and Montavic Area, by promoting the integration and development of economic activities related to sustainable tourism.

Business to Nature

“Business to Nature – Interregional approach to SMEs and Entrepreneurship in natural areas”
The aim of this project is to contribute to sustainable economic development of European regions, by comparing and promoting best practices for entrepreneur development in natural areas.

Rê.V.E. Grand Paradis

Rete Veicoli Elettrici Grand Paradis (Grand Paradis Network of Electric Vehicles).
This project has the aim of turning the different traffic-control measures into an organic whole. The project uses a sustainable approach to mobility and a wider view of the issues related to greenhouse gas emissions.

Imaginez un Transport Efficace et Responsable
With a view to a wide-range sustainability, this project has the aim of making public transport efficient and of quality and to promote the increase of responsible behaviour in relationship to the needs of sustainable transport.

...Come nani sulle spalle di giganti (“…like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants”)

Youth as a resource for the territory, the territory as a resource for youth.
The main objective of this project is to train young people who in the future will become valuable resources for the development of the region. The training will take place both as theory as by direct experience in the territories of Gran Paradiso National Park, Mont Avic Regional park and Vanoise French National Park.

Les Racines du Goût

This project has the objective of diversifying the range of cultural points of interest. It aims at safeguarding , conveying and updating traditions related to the use of mountain plants. It also encourages cultural comparisons, involving partners in the fields of science, agriculture and culture, using a crossed approach to issues related to regional produce.
