Rê.V.E. Grand Paradis

Grand Paradis Network of Electric Vehicles

The “Rê.V.E. – Grand Paradis” project - Grand Paradis Network of Electric Vehicles - aims at turning the different traffic-control measures into an organic whole. The project uses a sustainable approach to mobility and a wider view of the issues related to climate-altering emissions. In the context of environmental sustainability on a large scale, the aim of the project is to render transport within the Gran Paradiso National Park zero-impact with the use of solar-powered electric vehicles, using a renewable energy source.

A pilot project, “Rê.V.E. – Grand Paradis” is designed to be replicated in similar-sized Municipalities of Aosta Valley. It envisages the creation of a network of 11 solar photovoltaic (PV) powered recharging stations, with photovoltaic power monitoring system; the use of electric vehicles and real-time information to users. The stations serve 66 pedal-assist bicycles available to users free of charge.
